Hi I'm Michelle

I grew up in Utah, I now live in Mississippi. I'm a wife, mother, daughter, sister. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

9 years ago after my husband and I got married, we moved to the south and have been here since. I love living here. I love the culture, I love the strong Christian values that are prominent here. I am a stay at home mom of two sweet children. I love playing the piano and reading.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church. The church goes back 4 generations on my father's side. 3 generations on my mother's side. Growing up, going to church was routine for me. I never gave much thought to NOT going to church. Once I became involved in the Young Women's program and seminary, that is where the roots of my testimony began to grow deeper. When the time came that I felt I need to learn for myself whether or not the church was true, I knelt on my knees in prayer. I thought about the lessons I learned in Primary, Young Women's and Seminary. I was filled with an overwhelming sense of peace and I felt the confirmation of the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith daily with the basics like scripture reading, prayers, family home evening, going to church meetings, etc. It's important to me to set a good example for my children. More often than not I feel like they don't listen to a word I say but on occasion I am rewarded when they remind me about prayers and reading our scriptures. Right now I serve in the Primary, teaching the little ones ages 3-11. My favorite part of being with those kids each Sunday is listening to their sweet, simple testimonies. I have an opportunity to teach them 1 to 2 times a month. I love preparing those lessons as they remind me of the simple basics this gospel is founded on. Although I miss out on the adult classes, my testimony continues to grow as I prepare those lessons and listen to the children answer my questions and grasp the gospel principles we teach them each week.
