Hi I'm Jimmy

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in California. I am a goalkeeper in soccer and play every chance I get. I am studying to be an audiologist.

Why I am a Mormon

I have discovered that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has given me answers to life's greatest questions. I know where I came from, why I am here, and what happens after this life. I was raised Mormon, so I have had many experiences with the church. I know that when I follow Christ's example I am the happiest I can be.

How I live my faith

I read the scriptures and pray to God daily. This helps me remember that God is involved in our lives. He wants us to be happy. Every couple of Sundays, I teach a lesson to some of the men in our congregation. I have come to find that teaching is one of the best ways to learn.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

The purpose of life is to be happy. God has a plan for all his children, which includes much more than life on earth. We are eternal beings. We existed before this life and we have been given this time on earth to learn for ourselves to do good. Through this time on earth, we are able to progress and learn lessons we otherwise could not learn. Along the way we will stumble and make mistakes, but Jesus Christ is our savior. As we strive to pick ourselves up and do the right thing, He will help us along and make up the difference. Our goal is to someday return to our Heavenly Father and enjoy eternal life with Him and our loved ones. Show more Show less
