Hi I'm Dave

I'm a marketing director. My wife and I have 4 busy kids including twins. Love to travel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My family and I relocated from Utah to Georgia over 5 years ago and really enjoy the South. We’ve been “Atlantasized" (climatized) to the mild weather – we love playing outdoors all year round. We have 4 kids- two teenagers and 7 year old boy-girl twins, which was a huge surprise. The call from my wife announcing the twins was one of those moments where you just know life will never be the same. Our family life right now seems crazy running around to play or watch sports, piano lessons, and church activities, but we love it! I am a marketing director for a medical device company and my work takes me all over the country – I’ve been to 42 of the 50 states, and to many European and Asian countries. I enjoy experiencing new places and cultures and the satisfaction of managing a business which creates and sells new medical innovations to improve the lives of patients in the hospital or helping doctors and nurses provide better hospital care.

Why I am a Mormon

I think everyone must make a decision at some point in life what to believe. I remember that moment for me. As a teenager, I prayed to know the truth of the Mormon Church and of the Book of Mormon. I experienced a witness inside me, a personal communication to me from my Father in Heaven that it was true. This and many other subsequent experiences are the reasons I attend church, serve those around me, and live my life according to the Gospel of Jesus Christ the best I know how. That’s why I’m a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I just started teaching Sunday School for 10 year olds. There are 8 of them! It is very rewarding though to teach them that they have a Father in Heaven who loves them, and that through the grace of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we can have peace in this life and return to live with Him again. Our family had a unique opportunity this year to serve the needy in our area. Our ward combined with a neighboring Catholic church to stock and serve in a pantry to distribute food for the Christmas season. I'm happy our kids learned to look beyond just the "wants" of presents at Christmas and serve others who were less fortunate.
