Hi I'm James

I'am a husband, a son, and part of the family of God. I'm a Mormon - also referred to as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

About Me

I'am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I love the church and grew up in a good family who taught me the ways of our Heavenly Father. I went on a church mission for two years and it has really strengthened my testimony of our Savior Jesus Christ. I have also been happily married to my wife for three years now. We were married in the Temple - a place where families have the opprotunity to be married not just for time, but all eternity. I grew up in California for most of my life, but live here in Rogers, Arkansas. I feel like I have a good life, and if it wasn't for my Faith in Jesus Christ, my life I feel would be tottally different. The importance of studying the gospel, and then acting on that faith shows true dedication as disciples of Jesus Christ. I love the gospel and make it as much as a part of my life with everything else I do.

Why I am a Mormon

I'am a Mormon because I know that Christ church has been restored to the earth with all the many marvelous blessings that were here 2,000 years ago. Jesus Christ is the head of the church, and we have living apostles and prophets who receive revelation from God such as prophets did in bibical times.

How I live my faith

I believe that truely living your faith is not just hearing the words of the Lord, but also living what prophets today are teaching us, just like they did in bibical times. I believe in following Jesus Christ, for he is "the author and finisher of our Faith." I believe in daily prayer and scripture study, for by so doing, we can grow closer to God and better understand not only our relationship to him, but also our purpose in life which has meaning. In addition, I try and keep the commandments to the best of my ability as there is truely safty and peace as we try to perfect our lives.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

The family is ordanied of God, and has been important since the beggining of time. I find it intriguing that throughout the scriptures I find that God speaks to the family - Father, Mother, Brother, Sister. He tells parents to teach their children, and then tells children to obey their parents. We can see that each role in the family is important, and that the family, and the home and be a place of safe dwelling from the evil influences of the world. The family continues, and always has been and will be the most important unit in soceity. Much of soceity may not see it that way, but I know that families are ordained of God and that true happiness is achieved when families are teaching, loving, serving, and helping each other better understand the purpose of life and our true relationship with God the Father and his Son Jesus Christ. I love "The Family Proclamation to the World," that speaks directly to the family. Show more Show less
