Hi I'm Blaine

I'm a recent college graduate. I work as a Quality Assurance Engineer and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a recent college graduate and I'm currently doing an internship as a quality assurance engineer, which is just a fancy term for a software tester. I enjoy racquetball, photography and computers.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family with a long history of mormonism. As I grew up, my parents diligently taught me about Christ and I always felt that what they were teaching me was true. I grew up in a predominantly Mormon community in southern Idaho and at age 19 I left to serve a mission in Papeete Tahiti. As a missionary, my companion and I were teaching a woman in a small village on the island of Bora Bora. As with all of the people we taught, we encouraged her to pray to know that the message we were teaching was true. As we prayed with her, I felt the unmistakable feeling of the Holy Ghost testifying that our message was true. While, I had known since I was a little child that these things were true, I will never forget that experience that strengthened my testimony that God lives and he loves all of us very much.

How I live my faith

A big part of living my faith is reading the scriptures a praying daily. I find that doing this prepares me for my day and helps me stay focused on the things that matter most in life. I also frequently attend the temple. Temples focus on eternal life and going there always helps me to forget about the daily worries and stress. When I am there, I always think of my family and remember how important it is for me to keep the commandments in order to one day return to live with my family forever.
