Hi I'm Jet

I was born in Thailand. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 19 years and a father of five children and one grand child. My 18 year old received her Associates degree at age 15. My 13 year old is a junior at University of Texas at Arlington. The boys are also doing well in school. Both my Parents are Buddhist. I am an Eagle Scout. I hold both a Bachelor and a Masters degree in business.

Why I am a Mormon

I did not believe in anything because I wanted physical proof of God’s existence. At age 12, the boys in my Boy Scout troop sent missionaries to my house. The missionaries told me that both God and Jesus Christ physically showed themselves to Joseph Smith. I made a promise to the missionaries that if God and Jesus showed themselves just like Joseph Smith when I prayed, I would get baptized. When no one was home, I locked my room and got on my knees and prayed. I asked twice for God and Jesus to show themselves to me. Then upon the 3rd time asking, a “tingle/electrical” feeling went from my head to my feet which encompassed my entire body. Then I felt a sense of peace and calmness. Then I heard a sweet small voice saying, “Why do you need to see me? You know I exist and I am here.” I was overwhelmed with tears. I knew then I had to get baptized.

How I live my faith

I am a Scoutmaster for our Boy Scout Troop. I was the committee chairman that ran a city-wide “Emergency Day” in Texarkana, Texas. The community gets involved with booths and displays that relates to emergency and preparedness.
