Hi I'm Mark

I was born and raised in Maine and moved away when I joined the Coast Guard. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and father that loves his family very much. I am an electronics technician in the US Coast Guard and have been in for 25 years. My immediate family consists of three step-children and two of "ours" of which only the youngest two are still at home. I have 6 grandchildren. I am a recent cancer survivor (throat) and I love to cook but I really love to bake.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm Mormon because of a young girl that dared to reach out and share her faith with my daughter when she was only seven years old. Through her, my wife and I came to know the true gospel of Jesus Christ. More than that though I am a Mormon because I know this is what Heavenly Father wants for me. Not just me but all his children.

How I live my faith

I am currently the Ward Mission Leader so I get to work with a couple of young men who are out sharing the gospel to others full time. I have served in many different "callings" since joining the Church almost 23 years ago. I live my faith by trying to be the best person I can be. I want to be thought of as someone that can be turned to when a friend is needed.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Mark
Yes I do. Why is it difficult to believe that there is a prophet on the earth today? I don't believe that God would leave us here to our own devices, he has always provided men and women throughout the ages that were sent here with the purpose of helping to guide us back to Him. These prophets were and are a link between us and Heavenly Father, someone to lead us and guide us in the times in which we live. Show more Show less
