Hi I'm Anna Lee Wilson

I love science and art. I'm a chemist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've never been married, but I love children and animals. I like science and I have a masters degree in chemistry. I have been working in that field for many years. I grew up mainly in New Mexico, and I loved it there. I believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ and in helping others. I have been on several service trips.

Why I am a Mormon

I feel grateful to have been born into this church. I have felt the love of Jesus Christ and the sweet influence of the Holy Ghost. I treasure these experiences. I have felt the love of God in many people and faiths, but I feel it most strongly in living the gospel as taught by the Mormon church.

How I live my faith

I try to work hard at my profession, as a research chemist. I believe that science and learning can make our lives better and fulfill God's purposes. I believe that God wants us to increase in knowledge. Sometimes science doesn't seem to agree with faith and the scriptures, but I believe that as we keep learning the differences will be resolved and we will come to a greater understanding of God and his universe. I also help the church index names from public documents, like censuses, so that they will be available for everyone to use. i also try to be a good member of my family. i hope to make the individuals of my family feel loved and important.

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

Anna Lee Wilson
We believe in the Bible. The New Testament is my favorite book. It tells about Jesus and the early apostles. We also believe in the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon clarifies many of the teachings in the Bible and tells stories of the dealings of Jesus with the people who lived long ago in America. The Book of Mormon is scripture like the Bible. Show more Show less

Anna Lee Wilson
We attend church to partake of the sacrament and to associate with others. We have church services every week. You can come to church even if you are not a member of the church. The temple is a special place where we make important promises to God. You must be a worthy member of the church to go to the temple and make these promises and attend these services. In the temple, we also do work for ancestors who have died. We give them the choice to be able to belong to the church and to progress in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less

No, Mormons are not required to serve missions. Everyone in the church is asked to share the gospel with others. Young men are encouraged to serve missions.
