Hi I'm Tom

I'm a Mormon. I live in Las Vegas and have 5 children with my wife Leslie.

About Me

I have been married for 25 years and have five children. My wife and I have law degrees but neither of us has worked in the legal profession. My family and I enjoy serving in the community and church. Serving others gives us perspective, gratitude and purpose. I love the outdoors and and the beauty of nature. I run trails, bike, hike and enjoy snow sports.  Experiencing the beauty of nature sustains my faith and understanding of my Heavenly Father’s love for his children. I agree with Thoreau, “We need the tonic of wildness”.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe Jesus is the Christ and the blessings of his teachings and atonement are for everyone. I believe that I am a child of God, created in his image and that he wants all of his children to receive all that he has. I believe that the love I feel for my wife and family should be eternal. This church teaches these principles and where I can find answers to all of my questions about this life and our opportunity for eternal progression.

How I live my faith

I try to help other people every day. The Savior asked us to "Love One Another" and that is what I try to do. I have served the youth in many capacities. I had the blessing of serving as a Bishop in the church were I worked with hundreds of wonderful people and came to love and know them like my own family. I have been involved with many community and civic organizations. I love working with people of all faiths and cultures on the common cause of bettering my community and helping those in need.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Tom
We believe that family relationships are eternal. We believe that we need the eternal associations of family to become all that our Heavenly Father hopes for each of his children. We believe that the love we feel for our family in this life can be expanded and extended eternally. Show more Show less
