Hi I'm Randy

I have a fantastic wife, six beautiful children, almost seven grandchildren and I love being a Mormon!

About Me

I grew up in Orange County, California and met my beautiful wife while going to school. We fell in love and where married in the Los Angeles temple 33 years ago. God has blessed our marriage with six wonderful children and four grandchildren – what more could a man want in life? My favorite words are from my sweetheart when she whispers into my ear, “I love you” or from one of my grandchildren as they run into the house and shout, “Grampsy! Will you play with me?” In my professional career, I bring new technology to market, which cleans the environment, preserves our natural resources and provides reliable energy from things we throw away. I enjoy seeing God’s hand in our lives in so many different ways.

Why I am a Mormon

God has taught me who I am, a literal son of God. I am a witness of His infinite love for each of us and have seen it demonstrated in hundreds, if not thousands, of people throughout my life. Clearly the scriptures have taught us of His love for each of us, "For this is my work and my glory - to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man." He gave his only begotten son, our elder brother, Jesus Christ, that we might have an example - that we might live again with Him. Why am I a Mormon? Because it represents my love and commitment to my Father in Heaven and to my brothers and sisters here on earth. I know God lives and cares for each of us and He has witnessed to my soul, through His Holy Spirit, these things and I cannot deny it.

How I live my faith

As followers of Christ and members of his Church we understand the importance of serving one another, both in the church and in our community. I have been blessed to serve in many positions in the Church over the years and look with great fondness to time spent and people served. I also enjoy reaching into the community and giving time and talents in many different ways. I believe service is where we get to "practice what we preach" and emulate the teachings of the Savior and his great example. Each of us can have opportunities to lift the hands that are weary and strengthen those that need faith and hope in very powerful ways. We thus become the Lord's hands and living examples of the faith and knowledge that He has bless us with. Currently, I serve in the presidency of the California Irvine Mission and love every second of it!

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Randy
Why not! Why would God, the loving Father of us all, deny the ultimate joys of life throughout all the eternities with those that we love? Families can definitely be together forever! It's one of the most beautiful things about the gospel of Jesus Christ. When a husband and wife are married in His Holy House by one who holds the proper priesthood authority, they can be “sealed” or joined together forever and have the right to eternal blessings in this life and the next, if we keep our covenants to God. It is all part of God’s plan for us to be happy and live with Him someday. I could not imagine it any other way. Show more Show less
