Hi I'm Jos

I'm a Mormon, a mom, a perioperative nurse and educator

About Me

I am a mom of three boys and I work fulltime in perioperative nursing education.I love reading anything uplifting and fun, a stroll in the park, listening to easy listening music and relaxing with my boys.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a different religion and knowing just the basic principles of the Gospel but never really found what I was looking for or practised what I knew or believed. Becoming a Mormon really felt like the first time that I explored and understood the reason for my being with meaning, intent and humility. I was humbled by what I found. I realised I did not know God enough to love or obey Him prior. The experience was different, just right and peaceful. I felt the spirit of a loving God and father and I became His child again. Thanks to the loving, caring and supportive missionaries who taught me, the Lord's spirit was with them.

How I live my faith

I teach the sisters the second Sunday of each month from the Gospel principles in my ward. I use the LDS website to access magazine articles on any topic of interest. I try to begin my day with prayer and end my day with scripture reading and prayer. I keep a weekly journal of my spiritual activities or experiences, or scripture quotes. I try to put spiritual value in everything I do, think or say in order to draw closer to God and strengthen my faith.

What is being a Mormon like?

It is an amazing and humbling experience. I felt very welcome, loved and supported when I became a member. Because of so much care and love, I feel comfortable to provide such support to others as needed and/or whenever I can. The spirit of unity and strong family values inspires me and makes me want to do more and more each day to strengthen my family. Show more Show less
