Hi I'm Mark!

I'm a farmer, electronic music producer/ DJ, a college student, a donut lover, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a family that farms in Washington state. I also just completed my second year at college in Idaho where i am majoring in Agriculture Technology. During my free time i love to make electronic music. I'm a rather quiet guy at first, but dont worry, I come out of my cacoon and become a social butterfly. I love to make poeple laugh, and in turn I love laughing (it truely is the best ab workout in the world). I come from a stellar family where I am the youngest, but I'm the tallest. My dad and I look alot alike, and so when one of us gets complimented, the other always says something along the lines of "hey, we look alike, they meant to say that to me too!" now the really good stuff about me is in the sections below.

Why I am a Mormon

My family has always been active in the church and growing up I just went along with the motions of the church. It wasnt until my senior year of high school when I truely got converted, despite the fact that i was baptized into the church at the age of 8. During my senior year in high school, I had no idea what I was going to do with my life. I turned to the Lord and put my faith and trust in him. I prayed about what I should do with my life and going to college was the answer to my prayers. While at college, I was surrounded by members of the church that were wonderful examples to me. Because of the love and support of my friends and family, I was able to gain a testimony of my own of the gospel. It wasnt until April of 2011 when I knew without a shadow of a doubt that I wanted to serve a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I've been out on my mission in Florida for many months now and I have been able to whitness first hand the power the gospel can have on families that come from all walks of life. These experiences have truely helped strengthen my testimony of the gospel and the church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by sharing the gospel with others. The gospel has had such a positive inpact on my life and it has made me so happy that I want others to feel this effect of the gospel in their lives. I know that people are always watching us, even if we dont realize it, and sometimes being a good example is the best way to spark someones curiousity. Sometimes people ask me questions about who i am and why i choose not to participate in things that the world finds joyful and fun, that as a member of the church, we shouldn't be a part of. In my opinion, this is the best opportunity to stand up for my beliefs and to bear my testimony about how i know that the church has warned us about certain activities and that by avoiding those things can lead us to a greater happiness in the long run.

What is the priesthood?

Mark!
The priesthood is the authority given to man to act in God's name. The preisthood is not something that one can go to school or college to recieve. it is given to worthy men in the church by preisthood holders also in the church by the laying upon of hands on that man's head. Show more Show less
