Hi I'm Lisa

I'm a business owner. I'm a bargain shopper. I'm a wife and a mother of 3 young adults. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the Midwest, but love living in the South. My husband and I have been married for 28 years and we really enjoy spending time with each other! We work together every day in our family business, too. We have 3 college kids, but one of them is currently a missionary in Alaska and will return to college next year. In my free time, I love to try new recipes, go walking, practice yoga, or go shopping for bargains.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Catholic family, who faithfully went to church every week. My mom had a lot of questions that the priests couldn't answer, though, so she was looking for answers. When I was 10, she was converted and baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My dad wanted to raise his children Catholic, so we were taught both religions for many years. There were so many things that the Mormon missionaries taught that just FELT right to me - even at a young age. I never doubted the truth of their teachings. It was as if I was just being reminded of things that were already in my mind and in my heart. At age 17, I was allowed to choose my religion, and I was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The only times I've ever wondered if I made the right decision is when I think about where I would be without the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life. My beliefs have shaped my life and made me the person that I am now. I know where I've been and where I am going, and most importantly, I know how to get there. My testimony continues to be strengthened each day as I live the gospel.

How I live my faith

"Living my faith" means something different to everyone. If someone were to observe me throughout the day, I would hope that they would know that I am a Christian! I hope that when they see me make mistakes, they would also see that I try to say my prayers and read from the scriptures each day. My faith in Jesus Christ and His gospel on the earth has molded me into a person who truly wants to be an example to others. The most important part of my daily life is my family, and so I do my best to serve and strengthen and love them whenever and however I can!
