Hi I'm Mark Mims

I'm an Eagle Scout. I grew up in GA, OK, and MS. So you could say I'm a southerner but more importantly, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like watching movies. I dabble with computers including fixing and pretty much anything to do with electronics. I have built websites. I do a little computer programming. I participated in all ranks of Boy Scouts of America including Eagle Scout. I have lived in Georgia, Idaho, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Utah.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because of the good values this church teaches. Family is the most important thing to me, and I love the church's emphasis on families. Being a member of the church makes me want to be a better me, and teaches me how.

How I live my faith

I visit families in my church every month. In 2010 I assisted in organizing the efforts our church did in participating in the LDS Day of Service.

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Mark Mims
We perform baptisms for our ancestors to be able to receive the full benefits of our Heavenly Father's Plan, just as they did in the time of Jesus Christ (see 1 Corinthians 15:29). Show more Show less
