Hi I'm Debbi

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a professional faux painter, seamstress, and caterer. I have had to figure out what type of jobs work for me and my body. I worked in accounting for years but cannot sit the 8 hours per day due to an old injury. So I do several different things to satisfy my desire to be productive. I enjoy gardening, decorating, almost all games, drawing, writing, doing crafts, horseback riding, and many, many other things.

Why I am a Mormon

I had been looking for a church that I could attend for years. A friend, who later became my husband, planted the seed and I did what the Missionaries taught me. I prayed about the truth of the teachings and I was answered, not in a voice but more like the lightbulb above my head stating "Yes, it is true!". It was definitely a WOW moment for me. I have always had total faith in God and his only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, so adding the Book of Mormon made sense. I knew that God had not quit talking to us, I just didn't know who he was talking to. Now I know about our modern Prophet.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day. Some are easier than others, but I see miracles every day. I have learned so much from the talks and discussions that are from everyday people from all walks of life. I have enjoyed, and have increased my faith by helping plan and work on events like our Trunk or Treat, Harvest Festival, Christmas dinner, and a few ladies' Saturday activities. I try to be fair in my business dealings and like that the Church encourages this from all the members. I am proud to be a Mormon and grateful, too.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Debbi
I can feel the truth of it in my heart. I like being encouraged to follow the ten commandments, praying, reading the scriptures, doing service for others, and being a valuable part of my community and country. I like the struture of the Church and its foundation based on Jesus Christ's teachings. Show more Show less
