Hi I'm Lezlie Evans

I'm a children's book author, a wife, a mother and a grandma. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and a mother. I am a writer of children's books. I am a lover of animals, especially cats. I sing in the choir with my church congregation. I enjoy dancing, playing sports and I love learning new things. My children and my grandchildren bring me great joy. They are the cream on my cake of life!

Why I am a Mormon

My religion is the single most important thing in my life. Following my Savior, Jesus Christ, and trying to serve Him to the best of my ability is not just something I do on Sunday, it is a way of life. The gospel of Jesus Christ brings purpose and meaning to my life. It provides answers for me and my family, such as: where do we come from, why we are here on this earth, and where we will go after we die. Living the doctrines found in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints brings me great peace and happiness! That's why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am part of the largest women's organization in the world! As the president of our local organization, I sit in council with the other leaders of our local congregation each week. Together, we plan and carry out service not only for our church members, but also for those in the community. Weekly, we gather to worship God through taking the sacrament, studying the doctrines of Christ, and edifying and strengthening one another through song, prayer and the sharing of our testimonies. I believe the Bible to be the word of God, as far as it is translated correctly. I also believe The Book of Mormon, which is another testament of Jesus Christ, to be the word of God.
