Hi I'm Trudy

I grew up in Texas... and I Love my Big Blended Family, and I Know that I am a Daughter of My Heavenly Father's. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a home with a father that drank alot and a mother that tried her best to teach us good values. Life became more difficult for me when my parents divorced. I didn't understand why they had to get a divorce while I was at the young age of 8. I truly understand now how hard my mother tried to hold her family together. I have used these valuable tools that I learned and made a few mistakes along the way! As I also ended up getting a divorce and had three wondeful children, which I really didn't want them to go through what I had. I look back and realize how hard it was for them to live in two very different homes. Three years after my divorce I met my best friend, we got married and along with him were his three children. We blended this very tender yet busy group of children and had one more! I used to say what was I thinking, but she has been the best glue our family could have ever prayed for. Times have been up and down and the kids suvrived us and still love us! We are now super proud grandparents of seven grand-children and one on the way. I love my big family and just could not have been more blessed to have had anything else in life!

Why I am a Mormon

Well how I became a Mormon was first, I was raised in this religion, and I didn't know any different. And now I'm a Mormon because I choose to be. I left the church in my early teens and was just an angry teenager. When I became a Mother I then understood how important it was to teach my children who their Father in Heaven was. I love being a Mormon and having an Eternal Family as all of my children are sealed to my husband and I. This is such a comfort to me and I know that I will always have my family as I stay close to my Heavenly Father and live my life as I should. I did go about searching other churchs when I was in my early twenty's and never found the strength and comfort that I gained in my earlier years. I have grown beyond that to understand that Joseph Smith was a prophet and the Priesthood was restored to the earth again thru him. And that Thomas S. Monson is our living prophet today and receives revelation today just as Moses and Noah and so many other prophets of old. These great men have scraficed everything to teach the Lord's principles and help us all return to our Heavenly Home. I find so much comfort in my scriptures as I go through my trials. To feel the Love of my Savior and Heavenly Father is so very comforting in my daily life to say the least. So just to say I'm a Mormon means so much more to me. I know that I am a Daughter of my Heavenly Father, and that he loves me and truly wants me to be happy and to return to live with him once more.

How I live my faith

I live my faith first by being an example to my family so that they understand that it is more then just saying the words. I enjoy my faith by serving in the church and have in many ways over the years. I have enjoyed serving the youth the most. They are so close to our Father in Heaven as the spirit is so very strong when you are with them. I believe they have to make so many choices about who they are at this age (12-18). Lets face it in todays world it is not about being good or bad as the choices can be so decieving and misleading. The youth in our Faith just amaze me in how they choose to serve others and the reward is feeling close to our Savior and feeling his Love. In the Mormon religion we serve in whatever capacity our Bishop feel's inspired to ask us to serve, through much prayer of course. It can be a very rewarding way to show Heavenly Father our commitment to him. I have been blessed to serve in many callings and have learned to love so much deeper. And mostly learned who I am and how to be a better person. Don't get the wrong idea I still have so much more to learn. This Faith has helped me become more than I could have on my own. As we serve each other we are serving our Savior and to know him is to serve him.
