Hi I'm Michael

I am a father of three boys, and husband to one wife and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a computer programmer and network administrator to pay the bills, but my real passion is my wife and family. I love golf, but can't play. I love comedy, but can't stand slapstick. And, I love reading - especially with my wife. We are big Harry Potter fans, love Lord of the Rings, and our favourite saying is "the Movie was not as good as the book!" My favourite sports (beside golf) are Cricket, Australian Rules Football, and American Grid-Iron.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because it helps me be a better person. My goal is to live with my family forever, and I know that it is through obedience to God's commandments and following the example of the Saviour that I can accomplish this. Jesus taught that all the commandments stem from a love of God, and loving our neighbour as ourselves; the gospel helps me develop this love.

How I live my faith

Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is more than a Sunday activity. Understanding the plan our Father in heaven has for us means that every day we strive to be better. At church, I currently serve as a member of the Stake High Council and as a Home Teacher; these callings give me opportunities to visit with and serve members of my congregation as well as other congregations in the area. In addition, because I understand that we are all children of God, all brothers and sisters, everyday I look for ways in which I can serve those around me. If you want true happiness, you need to find it in the journey; out of the small and simple things.
