Hi I'm David

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Louisiana. I was raised being a Latter-day Saint. I left my home state shortly after graduating from high school. I moved to Provo, Utah and worked. College was never really encouraged, but I knew how to work hard. I was blessed to be married to a wonderful man in the Provo Temple in 1981. We have four children, one daughter and three sons. Our oldest son is a less active member of the church. We have another son serving a full time mission in Bolivia. I enjoy building things, including some finished carpentry, working in the yard, playing golf, hiking, weight training, scrap booking, and playing games.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church. This means that one of or both of my parents are also members of the church and were when I was a child or when I was born. In my case, my mother was a practicing Mormon, and my father had not yet been baptized into the church. He did this though, in 1990, and I had the opportunity to teach him the lessons that one receives when investigating the church. I am Mormon because I believe that the Mormon church offers what God would have all of us do. What I mean by that is, we are all on this earth to progress and learn and become like him. The Mormon faith has that information and knowledge that I need to become more like him. The church teaches me correct doctrine and I need to study it and gain a testimony of the truthfullness of that information. This I have done and I do believe that what it teaches is to be true. I have prayed and I have received my answers from God and I could not deny the truth that I believe with all my heart. I am Mormon and I am here to stay.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending my church meetings regularly.
