Hi I'm Don

Joined the church in 1977. Married in the Washington Temple in 1978. We have 6 beautiful daughters. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Graduated college in 1978. Currently working in the transportation industry. I love sports especially college football. I have spent most of my adult life helping my wife raise our six daughters. Now that they are all just about grown, we are spending time with our grandchildren. This will be my 34th year to be a member of the LDS church. It has been a blessing belonging to the Lord's church.

Why I am a Mormon

While in college, in my early 20's, I began to have questions about life in general but more specificially about why we are here and where we go after this life and even though I had gone to another church most of my life, I did not feel I really knew the answers. Therefore, I decided to look around at other religions to see what they had to say on the subject. Growing up I had not known any Mormons however, my sister has joined the LDS church a year earlier so I figured I might as well start there. As I took the missionary discussions and began to read the Book of Mormon and to pray about it, I received an answer to my prayer that the book I was reading was from God and that the Gospel had been restored to the earth once more. I found the answers to my questions and have had a strong testimony ever since that this church was indeed the true "Church of Jesus Christ". In 34 years of membership, I have never had a reason to doubt it. The blessings it has brought into my life continually confirm what the Holy Ghost witnessed to me over 30 years ago.

How I live my faith

Of course it includes faithful church attendance each and every Sunday no matter where we are on a particular weekend. It also includes attending the Temple on a regular basis. Reading the scriptures daily is something I strive to do. Also, I try to set a good example in the community and the work place. Trying to live the commandments, keep the Word of Wisdom, pay tithing and fast offerings. Just to remain faithful and endure to the end.
