Hi I'm Marie

I am a mom of 5, one being an autistic angel. I am also a volunteer in church, schools and my community.

About Me

I am a mother of five children and feel that I am a "guardian" of "angels". Our children are very special to me and I have loved being in the role of "mom". I have always wanted to be a mom and find it a privlegde and honor to do so. Our youngest is autistic. Because of our special needs child I have come realize that a role of a mother is to be a "guardian" of "angels" here on earth.

Why I am a Mormon

I have know since I was a young child that the Mormon church offered my soul the sweetness of truth. I was raised in what some consider a inactive family in the church. I would occassionally attend church. And when I was able to attend to all the functions and meetings, I felt as though I had found my place on earth. Since then I have been actively studying and participating in the sweetness of the gospel of Jesus Christ's church. I have felt the sweet spirit that comes when you know that something is correct and true. The burning in your heart and mind that is peaceful, joyous and happy. I have felt the calmness of knowing that I am loved by a higher being. I also know that I have to do my part, work hard, face hard times, and rely on our Father in Heaven and Savior Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I try! Some days I do a wonderful job at living my faith. Other days... well I am human. I pull up my boot straps and keep on trying! I love working with children and youth. I have had many wonderful opportunities to teach children about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. To watch children's faces when they understand and also to see the glow of love is amazing!! Because of my opportunities that I have had to volunteer in my church I have been able to learn many things about leadership and helping others. I currently help plan a craft fair for our special education program in our school district and help with the my children's high school music program. What a wonderful opportunity it is to be around people of all ages!

How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

Faith in Jesus Christ will help build a bond with your spouse that will be able to with stand the wrongs in the world. If you put Christ first in your marriage, and your spouse next then yourself most problems will be solved. Of course my husband and I have had our problems and misunderstandings however when I remember the above advice I just gave, things work out. Faith is an action and dealing with people is an action! The more you have faith in Christ the more success you will have in working and interacting with people. Show more Show less
