Hi I'm Brook

I'm a Director, Stage Manager and Actor. I'm a friend, I'm a Returned Missionary for the Church. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 26 year old member of the Church of Jesus Church of Latter-Day Saints. I am the oldest of five kids and I LOVE my family. I served missionary for the church in Missouri and Illinois, where I now live. I spent all my time for a year and a half serving my Father in Heaven and His Son Jesus Christ. I am now a Branch Missionary in a branch I served in as a full time missionary! I love creating things, from writing to the stage to creating a smile on someone else's face. I love it all. I am currently starting a children's acting studio, in addition to Assistant Directing, Stage Managing, and working full time as an administrative assistant. With all that and my three church callings I'm a busy girl.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family and I am so grateful my parents raised me to believe in Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ. But the real reason I am a Mormon is because I have prayed about the Prophet Joseph Smith and about the validity of the Book of Mormon. I received an answer through the Holy Spirit.

How I live my faith

Right now, I am serving as a Missionary in The Lord's Army! I talk to people all day long about Jesus, God, Joseph Smith, Prophets, the Spirit, The Book of Mormon, and anything else they are interested in. I love helping people. That is the biggest way I live my faith: by loving and helping others. Edit: I have now returned from my mission...but I still continue to serve God by Loving and Helping Others.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

By Grace we mean the power in Christ's atonement that us to do more with Him then we could by ourselves. The ability to turn to Him and find strength and endurance to withstand temptation and the power to do more good with Him than we could by ourselves. Show more Show less

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Our religion teaches us to follow in Christ’s footsteps. Did Christ only help those who followed him? Absolutely not! He offered his healing, help and teaching to ALL who came to him. So do we. Show more Show less

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

Imagine this scenario. You find a car for sale on craigslist.com. It sounds like a good deal so you call the number and set up an appointment to see the car. The day comes and you go look at the car. You love it and want to buy. When you ask the person selling the car if they have the title they say, "Oh no, it's really my sisters car. She has the title." Shocked you ask why they person is "selling" their sisters car. "She mentioned she was thinking about selling it so I figured it would be a good thing." Upset you respond they have no right to be selling anything that doesn't belong to them. You hand them your number as you walk away stating "When your sister gives you the authority to sell the car, give me a call." If you wouldn't buy a car from someone without authority, why would you stake your salvation on it? Peter was given the authority to "Bind on earth and in heaven". Our baptisms are performed by that same authority. They are approved on earth, and in heaven. Show more Show less
