Hi I'm Perona

I am a mormon

About Me

I was born in Hong Kong but grew up in Australia and also have spent some time living in Japan. I study law at university. I love the sunshine and picnics with friends.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I grew up within the church I thought and decided that I didn't want to waste my time going to church if it weren't true. I wanted to know if God was real, if he loved me and if the atonement of Jesus Christ really had any effect. The process by which I got this answer was simple but the result has been profound. I read Moroni 10:3-5 which is found in the Book of Mormon and then I followed the council given and knelt and prayed and asked God. I got an answer. I know God answers prayers. He answered my questions then and has continued to answer my questions. I am a mormon because my parents raised me in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints but I continue to live this lifestyle because God let me know that this is His church.

How I live my faith

I look for ways to draw closer to God each day through prayer and studying the Bible and Book of Mormon. I go to church every Sunday and there I get to teach Sunday School. It's a joy to go to church because I have the opportunity to make friends with lots of people from all walks of life.

What is done with the tithing that Mormons pay?

Perona
For me, tithing is an amazing system that God has set up. It's fair because the percentage sacrificed is the same. It's also fair because it allows others who want to know more about this gospel and draw closer to Christ the opportunity to do so for free. The teaching materials at church, the copies of the Book of Mormon given out by the missionaries, the chapel we gather in are all free. It's one way I can show God I love Him and to help bring the gospel to all those who want it. Show more Show less
