Hi I'm Amanda

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Good Morning Sunshine!! This is my usual greeting to everyone...day or night...because I can...and it makes people smile. I love to sing in the shower...badly, I love peanut butter m&m's, dancing in the rain, and running from the water as it washes in onto the beach...and I absolutely love to hang with my friends. I love wearing brightly striped toe socks in winter and eating greasy fish and chips BOOYA! My dream is to travel around Europe and take that picture where it looks like I'm holding up the Tower of Pisa. My favourite movies are Independence Day and Liar Liar...and as you have noticed...being and Australian...I put a 'U' in colour, favourite, labour ...and mum. :-) My favourite quote: If it is to be, It's up to me ~ Harold B Lee

Why I am a Mormon

Well I've been brought up and raised in the church so as you can imagine, I don't really know anything else...Having said that, I have seen the standards of the world and how damaging it can be. I choose to be a Mormon because I know the gospel and teachings taught to be true! They make too make sense, the spirit has testified to me of the Saviour and I have felt his love. I know that my Redeemer lives!!! This gospel has brought me and my family so much happiness and I wouldn't trade my knowledge of this for the world. The best part for me, is knowing that there is a plan for me, with eternal blessings and promises. No one is just put on this earth to live for no reason...there is a purpose, and there is loving guidance to help us. The people I have met and continue to meet through this gospel are amazing, they are helpful and kind and are keen to build eternal friendships, and no matter where I am, in another suburb, city or country, the gospel is the same, it never changes in an ever-changing world.

How I live my faith

I live my faith very carefully. My calling is to help build friendships with the Young Single Adults in my area by organising activities that are fun and give the opportunity for them to feel the spirit without the worldly influences. It can be time consuming and tricky at times, but when it all comes together and people participate and tell you that they had a blast...its truly awesome. I feel it's really important to build up strong friendships in the gospel as they are the people who are going to understand and be there for you when you struggle. They will encourage you to pray and to have faith in the Saviour, to trust him with your problems. The gospel has taught me that I have weaknesses that I may have the opportunity to learn to overcome them, I have also been given strengths to develop and share with those who need me.
