Hi I'm Kimberly

I'm a georgia girl, through and through. I'm a middle child. i own my own company. i am Mormon!

About Me

Hey, I'm Kimberly. I was born and raised in Georgia. I'm 21 and I have my own cake decorating company, that I started nearly 2 years ago. I also work in a daycare, which keeps me busy. I am the middle of 3 kids. I also have two younger half siblings. I love all types of music, but i'd say acoustic is my favorite. I paint, draw, sculpt, print, color.. pretty much anything artsy, I live for. I love sports mostly football and baseball. a few random things that I think are pretty unique, my initials are kfc, my eyes are gray, I'm 50% cherokee, 50% irish and I played the flute piano and violin when I was younger.

Why I am a Mormon

Ten years ago I met my best friend who introduced me to the church when I was in middle school. We were inseparable, so I found myself going to church with her quite often. Mostly just ym-yw activities. A few times I managed to go on Sundays and I noticed almost immediately that I felt more welcomed and even noticed in her church than in my own. I grew up Methodist. Through the years we've kept in touch but after she moved to Idaho to attend BYU in Sept '08, it was like a sign that she was replaced with another member of the church that I met. He had been inactive for sometime, but as soon as we met we both started to take steps to get back into going to church. He was preparing to go on his mission and I would read with him daily. This is when I began to realize that I knew that this church was the true church. I knew that there was something about the way this church and the people in this church radiated. It wasn't easy to explain, but it was just right. like something had been missing and I didn't even realize it. In October of this year, I met yet another member. She asked me if I'd like to go to church with her, I think she was more shocked than anything that I said yes.. and two weeks later I met my missionaries for the first time. Everything was just so simple, everything just fit so perfectly and I began to feel this overwhelming amount of love and support I had never felt before. The very first meeting I had with the missionaries I knew that this was home to me. This was where I belonged and where God wanted me to be all along. I was blessed to be baptized on November 27, 2010. I know this church is true because of the blessings I have received in the people I have come to meet. At my lowest points in life God sent these three members to me for a reason. Its truly incredible!

How I live my faith

Its so true that the more things you do as God asks you to do, the more blessings you receive! I get a fulfillment from going to church and attending as many lessons and classes as possible. The church has become my peace, my safety. God isn't asking for the impossible. He asks simple pure things of each of us, and those simple pure things have created within me such gratefulness and appretiation to Him!
