Hi I'm Scott

I'm from Boston. I'm a musician, a gamer, a writer, a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have always had a deep voice, and so I use it to sing bass whenever the opportunity pops up. Even though I graduated from high school years ago, my legacy continues as the only one who could hit a low C. I've always been a nut for video games, whatever kind they are. It started with a Nintendo 64 when I was in fourth grade. It still works. I bet I can school you in Super Smash Brothers. When I finish my mission, I want to be a clinical psychologist. I like the idea of helping people who don't know how they can be helped.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have discovered through trial and error that Jesus Christ's way is the best way. I also know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God because it inspires me time and time again. I can't deny it, and I don't want to anyway.

How I live my faith

I am living in Australia as a missionary. I talk to everyday people about the most important things in life. I teach truths from the Gospel of Jesus Christ that helps people become closer to God and understand better what makes us happy and why.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

For every question you have, there will be an answer here. We are here to clarify what we believe. However, to know Mormonism is true, you cannot simply take our word for it. You must read the Book of Mormon, the proof of the restored Gospel through Joseph Smith the prophet. Then, you must ask God if the Book of Mormon is true, and He will tell you by the power of the Holy Ghost. As you then act on that answer and begin to follow the true Gospel of Jesus Christ, you will see the blessings flow like never before in your life. As a missionary, people said to me they felt more patient, at peace, motivated, and other good feelings. They acted in faith, and the miracles that followed turned their faith into knowledge. What is the priesthood?

The Priesthood is God's authority given to man. It is used to bless people who are sick, weary, or in need of comfort. It is the authority that administrates the Church, directs missionary work, and brings the Spirit to each family's home. Without it, we are on our own. Because God has trusted me with the Priesthood, I have the responsibility to represent Heavenly Father by the way I live, so that I am worthy to use it properly. If I honor this responsibility well, I am literally an instrument in God's hands, ready to act when He calls. He gives me gifts of faith, knowledge, and discernment so I know how to help everyone I meet. Show more Show less

Why do some call Mormonism a cult?

Why did people believe Barack Obama was a terrorist? It comes from short-sightedness and misunderstanding. The word "Mormon" was originally used as a negative label against members of the Mormon Church. When word gets around of "What the Mormons do" out of proper context, further assumptions reciprocate to slander accepted as truth. This is a common human error, and the Mormon Church is not the only victim. Similar confusion happens in high schools when rumors go around. This is why Heavenly Father commanded, "Thou shalt not bear false witness." Show more Show less
