Hi I'm Lacie

I believe in miracles and a living God. I am a missionary of the Lord, I love life, and I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have dedicated 18 months of my life to serving the Lord and spreading His gospel and His love as far as I can reach. I grew up in small-town Wisconsin, where I learned to rely on the Lord to help me through the lonely times. The incredible beauty of the Lord's plan never ceases to amaze me; even when we feel that we can go no lower, time still goes on, and eventually we look back and realize how much stronger we are for having had that experience. The same goes with the highs of life - we must never forget where our joy comes from and who is the instigator of all truth and good. God has worked so much wonder in my life, as I know He does for each of us. Whether we decide to recognize the fact or not is up to us, but the miracles are there, every single day. The cool thing is, the more we recognize them, the more of them we see, and therefore the more of them we have!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love it. No other religion can give you quite the sense of fulfillment and purpose as the Lord's church can. Living gospel standards helps me to see the beauty in even the stormy days of life. I am a member of Christ's restored church - the same that He set up when He was on the earth, and while other churches are great and wonderful, none have the full truth. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (the LDS church) has the authority of Jesus Christ to perform miracles, to baptize, to seal families together for eternity - never to be separated. The LDS church has a prophet who speaks for the Lord and keeps us all on the path to salvation. I am a Mormon because the Holy Spirit spoke to me and told me that this church was true.

How I live my faith

I show my faith by who I am. Every moment I strive to be an example of Christ, and live in such a way that my conscience is clear when I finally see Him. I fall short and make mistakes just like everyone, but to me achieving perfection is not the most important part of this journey. The most important part is the middle. The part we are in right now; life on earth. It's about what we learn, who we become, and the people we meet that really makes the experience, and our experiences make us who we are. This is where we learn, grow and figure things out. It is also where we make friendships that can last through the eternities. I feel that I, personally, can make the most difference in the world by helping those around me and easing their burdens; if we all just felt even a portion of the love the Lord has for every one of us, we could heal the broken hearts and mend the broken families that are so common today. If we want a beautiful, loving world for the next generation to grow up in, it starts here and now, with us. Life is beautiful-enjoy it!
