Hi I'm Linda

I grew up in Huntington Beach, California and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am 63 years old and my husband and I are square dance callers. We have been involved in square dancing for over 30 years. It is a very fun activity. We are retired and like to visit our family. We both lost spouses so this is a second marriage for us. We have been married 6 years. Between us we have 9 children and 33 grandchildren. They really keep us busy. I like to read a lot and now have a Kindle that can hold thousands of books.

Why I am a Mormon

As I was growing up my mother took us to many churches. We investigated several religions including the Christian Scientists of which my grandmother was a member. Nothing seemed right. I could not become committed to any of them. A friend introduced me to the LDS Missionaries who taught not only me but my mother as well. When we heard the gospel message we knew it was true. Something inside told me that I had known this before. So when I was a senior in high school, I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It was the best thing I ever did.

How I live my faith

I am very active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My husband and I just returned about 5 months ago from serving a mission in Nauvoo, Illinois. I have been a primary teacher, and the best calling I had in the Church was working with cub scouts and boy scouts. I never turn a calling down because I believe that whatever I am asked to do is what the Lord wants me to do. I read scriptures every morning and try to study the life of our Savior. I also like to attend the temple and do work there and I have been a temple ordinance worker, which was a great blessing in my life. I try to be a good person, to be kind to others, and help others when they need help. I love the Gospel. I love our Savior, Jesus Christ.
