Hi I'm Kerry

I'm a mom of a very active baby and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mother of a very active baby boy. I'm also a wife to wonderful guy. I have graduated from college but I enjoy continuing to learn. Some of my hobbies include scrapbooking, playing ultimate frisbee, and cooking.

Why I am a Mormon

I have found out for myself through prayer and fasting that this is God's church on earth. I know that God loves us, His children, so much. He wants the best for us. For that reason He has sent us to earth to be away from His side for a little so we can learn and grow and develop. He has given us helps to make life more manageable. These include parents or role models, scriptures, the Holy Spirit, church, and a modern day prophet, like Moses or Noah. I know He loves and helps us on our journey here on this earth.

How I live my faith

I try every day to do better. I study the scriptures and attempt to be the person God wants me to be. I pray often and go to church every week. I try to make sure that my behavior reflects my beliefs.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

One of our church leaders has said the following about testimony, "It is a personal revelation from God, revealing the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. A testimony comes through the Holy Ghost; it makes a deep and lasting impression on the soul." (Elder Robert G. Hales, Nov. 1994 GCR). A testimony is a concept or set of concepts that someone believes to be true. I have testimony that the scriptures are the words of God. I don't believe this just because my parents and church leaders have said so, but I have prayed to God myself and felt that they are true. Therefore I believe that I have a testimony of this concept.
