Hi I'm Jessica

I'm a nurse, I'm a mother, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and the mother of three small children. I have been a nurse for 10 years and it has given me the opportunity to serve others and meet some amazing people along the way! I enjoy the outdoors, camping, snowmobiling, traveling, music, and being with my family. Family is everything to me!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. As a child I was taught about the gospel. When I was a teenager I decided that I couldn't rely on anyone else's testimony and followed Moroni's promise (Moroni 10:4-5). After prayer I was given a peaceful spiritual confirmation that this church is true. I made a choice that day to be a faithful Mormon . As I look back on my life, everything I have and everything I am I owe to that decision.

How I live my faith

My faith is the central part of my life. My husband and I try and teach our children about our Savior, Jesus Christ through conversations, discussions, scriptures and prayer. We attend church every Sunday we can. While there we are reminded of promises we've made the Lord and promises He's made to us. At church I get to work with the Young Women's Organization. This amazing organization helps young women (and me) cultivate feminine attributes, strengthen testimonies of Christ, develop leadership qualities, and reach our divine potential. We have made a commitment to stand for truth and righteousness at all times and in all things and in all places. The older I get the more I realize that this life is about LOVE! In 1 John 4:7-8 it says, "Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love." I try and live my faith with that love, whether it be through service or something as simple as a warm smile. To be able to see yourself and others, with all our faults and imperfections, filtered through that love, God's love is an amazing thing! Approaching life this way has impacted me greatly and gives me so much peace and joy.

Are Mormons Christians?

Yes, we are. We believe that Jesus Christ took upon himself our sins and sacrificed his life, atoning for our sins. By and only through His atonement can we return to our Father in Heaven. Show more Show less
