Hi I'm Kyle

I was born in Arizona. I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day SaintsMormon.

About Me

I am from Arizona. I have three older sisters, no brothers. I love to play games and read books. I am currently on a Mission to share the Gospel, or 'Good News'.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was little, my mom and dad would take me to church. this was The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, commonly known by many as the LDS or Mormon church. Over the years, I kept coming to church, and because of it, I slowly gained a tesimony of the church that it was true. The church is true. Joseph Smith was the prophet of God who restored the Church. Jesus IS the Christ, and loves us.

How I live my faith

Before my Mission, I was serving the Lord in a couple of ways. I served as a Home Teacher- A member who goes to other members' houses to help strengthen their faith. I was also a Primary teacher. Primary is a part of church meetings for the younger children so that they can learn of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Kyle
Read the Book of Mormon, Study it out in your mind, and then pray to God, our Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if it is true. If you do so sincerely, you WILL receive a witness that it is true by the power of the Holy Ghost. (see the last two paragraphs to the introduction to the Book of Mormon.) Show more Show less

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Kyle

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Kyle
In the sense of the prophet that Moses talked about, that was Jesus Christ. However, we do believe that there is a prophet to guide us today, in a similar manner as Moses, that is, protecting us from the wickedness that we are prone to follow without help, and also guiding us back to God. How are modesty and chastity related? How can parents teach their children to be modest in dress, language and behavior?

Kyle
chastity begins with our thoughts. when we see someone with immodest clothing, sensual language, or lavicious behaviour, we are immediately assaulted by unchaste thoughts. those who are modest are those with whom we do not recieve those wicked thoughts. the best way to teach modesty is to be an example.  Show more Show less

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

Kyle
We have always had the Bible, but it is because of that that a Restoration of the Gospel was needed. The Bible, throughout the ages, was altered and re-translated by many people- including some who did not have the Spirit of God to guide them in correctly translating it. Can you deny that this is so? I say unto you, nay, you can't. With all those translations and re-translations, plain and precious things of the Gospel were lost. Because of that, a Restoration of the Gospel was needed, yea, necessary. Show more Show less

The Bible is an ancient record over primarily in Caanan, following the Children of Israel at first, and then finally the Jews when the rest of the tribes were scattered throughout the world. The Book of Mormon is an ancient record of a branch of one of those scattered tribes in the Americas. Both testify of Jesus Christ. Moroni, the last prophet in the Book of Mormon, buried the records in the hill Cumorah, and, when God chose, Delivered the Record as a ressurected being to Joseph Smith. Show more Show less

Kyle
Let me ask you a question that may help you understand how. When you act, isn't it usually based on what you believe? When you jump into the arms of your family, don't you do it because you believe that they will be there to catch you and be with you? What we believe greatly affects what we do, or how we act. If a husband and wife believe in things that are absolutely opposite, an argument is extremely likely to happen, causing contention, or in other words, a division between that husband and wife. Kyle
Not secret. Sacred. there are things that very few people are worthy to know about, because if those who are not ready learn about them, two things would happen. one, the person would not understand it, yet because they know it, would come under greater condemnation because they cannot do it, and two, because they do not understand it, might emblazon it all about as a "secret" thing and thereby many others who are not ready to understand would also know it.  Show more Show less
