Hi I'm Nate

I'm a biker, I'm a diver, I'm a computer buff, I'm a goof, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live in Georgia. I'm currently on a mission. I am planning on finishing college as soon as I'm done. I like to tinker with computers. It was something that I not only enjoy doing, but I've developed a skill at doing so. I like to scuba dive and drive motorcycles. I also love to read books. I also like to play video games, like Final Fantasy.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member my whole life, but I was not converted until I was about 16. I used to live on my parents testimony. It was not until later when my bishop suggested that I read The Book of Mormon. It had taken me almost a year, restarting and sometimes falling asleep while doing so. I had finally finished, and took Moroni's challenge found in Moroni 10: 3-5. I now know without a doubt that this book is true, and that because it is, I know that Joseph Smith was his prophet. I know that the current prophet, Thomas S. Monson is his prophet today.

How I live my faith

I was active in the scouting program, I was an assitant scout master. I've also live my faith by actively working with people my age, young and single. I've done service for other members, helping other families with yard work or what not. I'm currently serving God by being a missionary.

Why is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints called Mormons or Mormonism?

The reason we are called "mormons" is because of the Book of Mormon, which we believe is the word of God. It is not because we worship Mormon. We worship Jesus Christ. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about family?

Family is the basic unit of not only the Church but also the world. Families are where you learn the most about life and, well anything. We believe that families are important. Most of my best memories are with my family. We have fun and learn from each other. I look forward to having my own family. And because of Jesus Christ, I know that I can have my family not only here, but forever. That gives me hope and comfort. Show more Show less

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

When I was a kid, I thought that it ment that you would be smart. But later in life I learned that it means to keep your body healthy and clean from the dangers of addiction. All through my life I have seen the negative side effects of tobacco, alcohol, and drugs. I know that they can harm me not just now, but when I have grown older too. I know that the Word of Wisdom was given to us by a loving Heavenly Father, who only wants us to be happy. Show more Show less
