Hi I'm Alex

I am from Arizona. I love to have fun with friends and family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student and am planning on studying to be a pharmacist. I love to be outdoors playing sports, especially any sort of board sport. Snowboarding and wakeboarding are probably my favorite! I also love all sorts of music and I play the guitar. But most of all I love to make others smile and laugh and just enjoy having a good time!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Mormon church, my dad has been a member all of his life and my mom is a convert to the church. Growing up they always made sure that I was coming to church and they did all that they could to teach me the Gospel of Jesus Christ the best they could. In high school, I remember often questioning my own beliefs and my own faith. Often I either did not want to go to church or even thought that when I moved out that I would no longer consider myself Mormon. I had a lot of faithful friends in the church and I came to a point where either I could continue with what I had been taught all of my life or choose a different path. It was at this time I decided to really read and pray about the book of Mormon and find out for myself it was true. As I did, I had feelings, thoughts and impressions that it truly was scripture from God, and that all I had been told growing up was true. Since then I have continued to do my best to help my testimony grow. I know that this is the true church of Jesus Christ because I have received a witness from the Holy Spirit telling me it is true. God continues to bless me in all that I do as I remain faithful to him. I am truly grateful for my family and my friends that in the church and they have had a profound influence on my life and the decisions I have made on a daily basis as well as life changing decisions. Through the good and the bad I know that God has been watching over me and I know that he will continue to lead me and teach me more of His plan for not only myself, but his plan for all of His children. This truly is His work and His glory and I am grateful for the privilege it has been to be a part of it.

How I live my faith

I have participated in many of the programs that the church has to offer, including youth activities, scouting, service projects and various other activities/ programs in which I have had the opportunity to help and bless the lives of others. Being involved with these programs has really helped to increase my faith in Jesus Christ and has influenced me and helped me to make decisions in my life to bring my standard of living closer to the example of our Savior

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

The sole purpose of Mormon missionaries is to invite others to develop a greater personal relationship with God and Jesus Christ by helping them have greater faith in Christ, help them to repent, become baptized, receive the gift of the Holy Ghost and continue living their lives in harmony with the Gospel. Everybody has the opportunity to accept or reject what the church and the missionaries teach, but I know that as people listen to, accept and act on the doctrines and principles taught, that the blessings of heaven will come to them greater than ever before. It is a missionaries responsibility and calling to help others in whatever capacity they may. It is only when we are truly in harmony with God's teachings and commandments that we are entitled to and qualify for His blessings. This is why Mormon missionaries sacrifice two years of their lives to help bless the lives of others by bringing them closer to God. Show more Show less
