Hi I'm John Satterthwaite

I'm A Fisher, Hunter, Outdoorsmans, Missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

From 2010-12 I went on an LDS Mission to Oregon in the Portland Mission. The mission covered from the area of The columbia river to the north, State Street in Salem, OR to the south, from Mount Hood on the East, and then to the Coast on the West. I love to talk to people about anything and learn from every conversation how to talk more with people and how to best help those around me. I am an avid outdoorsman I love to be out and about and doing fun things. I definetely love to hunt, fishing and Hike and stuff such as that. I always am itching for the next hunting season so that I can go and get a tag and go hunting. I am loving life. although I also love to be a gamer and play video games I still love to go outside and have some fun. As I experience the outdoors I get that opportunity to see what great things god has created for all of us to enjoy, That is the only way that could be possible. I am also an uncle of 9, 5 nieces and 4 nephews, and I love every second of being an uncle and I am very proud of each of my nieces and nephews. I love life and look forward to each and everyday. I can't wait to be able to spend time with them again. I also have 3 sisters and a twin and love spending time with them, and I also love when my parents and all of the family get together. As I served out in Oregon I saw how important a family is and how it can bring us all closer to see how the strength of a family is so important and if it is strong it can survive anything.

Why I am a Mormon

I didn't always know this was true. I had to find it out the same way as everyone else I had to read, pray, and ponder on the feelings I felt to know for sure if this is really and truly the church for me. I got my answer and I know for myself now that Joseph Smith really and truly did restore the church that Jesus Christ had established before now. i am so glad to know this. I also can see that my faith can help me to see what is right and what is wrong so that I can make the decision that will best help me to stay strong in my faith.

How I live my faith

I am currently a missionary in the Oregon Portland Mission and I am loving the chance I have to serve my Father in Heaven and learn more about God's loving plan for each and everyone of us. Got has given us such a beautiful world for us to enjoy and family and friends that are there supporting you every step of the way there is totally just a bond I feel within any of our church's that you go to. They bring a sense of unity a sense of friendship and you can see that the leadership is out there to help you in any way they can. They are not paid, neither am I for what I do as a missionary. The service in the church is all voluntary and it is awesome to see them serve in the capacity they do. It is truly inspirational.
