Hi I'm Maureen

I choose to be a stay-at-home mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a degree in general engineering, emphasis in biomedical engineering. Shortly after graduation I started a family and currently stay at home with my 2 children. I love to learn and I love being able to help teach my children. I enjoy running, weight training, cooking, serving others, and striving to be the best wife and mother I can be. Instead of working as an engineer outside of the home I have learned to fix sinks, toilets, electric sockets, and any other item that needs attention. I am so thankful for the chance I have to be a wife, mother and "home engineer".

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know the teachings are from our Father in Heaven. I live according to those teachings to give me direction in my life. As I strive to follow the commandments I become a better wife, mom, sister, daughter, and friend. I depend on prayer and promptings from the Holy Ghost to help me make decisions regarding me and my family. I love being able to speak with my Father in Heaven through prayer. I know the Lord has a plan for us here on earth and is willing to help us if we take the time to study the scriptures, ponder and pray. The gospel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints allows me to find joy in the journey of life and I look forward to being able to spend the rest of eternity with my family.

How I live my faith

Serving in the church is very important in my family. I was raised to accept whatever assignment (calling) offered to me. I accept these callings because I know this is the Lord's church and He needs each of us to help build His kingdom. It is a privilege to be able to accept each assignment offered to me. Through the years I have been able to serve in the Primary, Young Women, Relief Society, and more. I am thankful for the opportunity I have to serve others around me. The service I am able to render through my callings in His church not only help the church move forward, but it teaches me and my family how we can give a little of our time for something greater than ourselves. I am a happier person when I look outside of my immediate needs and help those around me.
