Hi I'm Jill

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of five Children, four boys and one girl. I am a stay at home mom but I have an elementary teaching degree from Brigham Young University. I taught for 2 years before I met my husband and we were married in the San Diego Temple. I love stitching, taking long walks, playing with my children and socializing with friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been LDS my whole life but each person must receive a testimony for oneself and mine came in small pieces throughout my life. I have always had a sense of a loving Heavenly Father who watches over me. But the cementing of a testimony for me came through some of life’s toughest challenges- times when I felt the most alone and had to turn to my Heavenly Father. Answers to prayers at the time didn’t come quickly but only after a trial of my faith. After a time of struggling, serving others, studying the scriptures and turning my life over to the Lord I found my self in a position where the Lord was my constant companion. I can never deny the feeling of a greater power in my life guiding me. I know that I have a Loving Heavenly Father and that he loves each one of us. He wants us to be happy and to return to live with him again someday.

How I live my faith

Because of my belief I try to live each day to be worthy of my Father in Heavens companionship. I teach my children to be faithful examples of followers of Christ. We pray often and read the scriptures daily. I believe it is evident to others what sort of people we are by how we treat others. Are we honest? Do we choose right? Are we kind and faithful? Do we serve others in our community and in our church? I believe in the bible verses from Matthew 25: 40 “Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." I believe that I am trying to live my life everyday as if I am serving my Heavenly Father.
