Hi I'm Tim

I was born and raised in the US. I work in the construction industry. I am married with grand kids and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small rural Western Washington town. I enjoy hiking, camping and most outdoor activities. Washington is a great state for spending time in nature and I have visited many of the National and State parks and forests in the Pacific North West. I have climbed several of the major mountains. I served a mission in Minnesota and Wisconsin for the church, after which I served in the Marine Corp for 4 years. While in the Marine Corp I went to a school in Virginia where I met my wife. We were married 10 months after we met. We were blessed with 2 great children, both of whom are now married. I now have 6 six wonderful grandchildren, 3 boys and 3 girls that I enjoy very much.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints there came a time in my life that I had to decide for myself if it were true. I spent the time and effort studying Jesus Christ and His gospel and after fasting and praying, it was revealed to me to be true by the Holy Spirit. I have continued to follow Jesus Christ and His teachings throughout my life and I have found that I am a better person because of it. Having Christ in my life is a great comfort to me and brings joy and happiness to me and my family.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as the Bishop of our local congregation. As a Bishop I have an opportunity to associate with all of the members of our congregation and also the members of our local community in a variety of ways. As part of being the Bishop, I enjoy being and working with the Boy Scouts, visiting the members of our congregation, participating in activities with the Youth, and playing with the the children. I enjoy helping to teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ with our missionaries and on Sunday in Sunday School. I find great joy in serving at local service project in the community. I am thankful for the opportunity that I have to do the work of the Savior here on the earth.
