Hi I'm Becky

I am a wife and mother or 4 and grandmother of 1 and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay at home mom and I enjoy spending time with my family. In my free time I like to read. I enjoy a good novel but even more I like to read and learn more about topics that interest me such as nutrition and parenting issues. I like to cook and I am trying to learn to cook more healthful meals. Gardening is one of my hobbies. I have a small vegetable garden and love to grow flowers in my yard. I also enjoy sewing and crocheting even though I have little time to spend on this. I try to stay involved in the lives of my children by volunteering in the schools and helping them to develop their talents and abilities.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a member of this church. I grew up in a family that lived the gospel and taught it to me in my youth. I still had to gain my own testimony of the gospel. I have come to know it is true through living the gospel. As I strive to keep the commandment and follow the teachings of our Savior, Jesus Christ, I have received a witness from the Holy Ghost that the gospel is true. I have been blessed as I have lived the gospel. The teaching of Jesus Christ bring peace and happiness in my life. I have received answers to my prayers and guidance and direction in my life. I have felt the love and support of our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ in times of trial. I know that I can always turn to them through prayer for help. I am grateful to know that our Savior, Jesus Christ, has made it possible for me to be forgiven of my sins and be resurrected. This understanding of the Savior's mercy and love gives me hope as I face the challenges of life.

How I live my faith

I have the opportunity to coordinate compassionate service in our congregation. I will call other women in our church to arrange meals or childcare when a member has a new baby or is ill. If transportation, cleaning or other service is needed I will coordinate this others so that we can support one another and help meet each others needs. I also try to teach my family to live the gospel through daily family prayer and scripture study. We hold weekly family meetings where we spend time together and are able to discuss gospel topics. We attend church each week and I encourage my children to participate in youth church activities.
