Hi I'm Neil
I'm a Mormon.
I am an American living in the United Kingdom. I'm a husband to a wonderful wife and father to three wonderful sons. Though I am the only member, our lives are based on gospel principles. My interests are many and varied, but I would put languages and learning at the top of the list. I mean, who doesn't love grammar?
Why I am a Mormon
I joined the church because I believe it is the truth. I had experienced things in my life that convinced me that I was being guided, that I was loved. I had come to believe certain principles and concepts that were only explained when I was taught by missionaries. This belief became knowledge when I received the gift of the Holy Ghost. Through this gift I have grown closer to God and to Jesus. The church gave and continues to give me answers.
How I live my faith
I serve in a leadership position in my ward. It is very rewarding because I get to teach the gospel and, in doing so, learn more myself. My "church job" allows me to get closer to other members who have need of assistance or simply someone who will to listen to them. Because I have to lead, I must also be an example and that pushes me to do all I can with regards to my responsibilities in and out of church. In my personal life which is indistinguishable from church life, I do my best to obey the commandments. It isn't always easy, but success is attainable. I sing in the choir. I read scripture every day. I pray.
