Hi I'm Ruth

I am a Mormon

About Me

I am a great-grandmother who thinks her grandchildren are the best. For the past thirteen years I have worked in the Family History Centre and have such a thrill to help others find their family members. As you might be aware my hobby is Family History. I am so fortunate to also have served in the temple for the past twelve years. This is putting Family History into action. My other interest is my vegetable garden that I only of recent years began and the results have been fantastic. I also like to exercise by power walking and attending the gym. I also have begun Tai Chi. I believe that we need to keep out bodies in shape inside and out.

Why I am a Mormon

I was introduced to the gospel as a teenager and instantly felt of the Spirit when told of Joseph Smith. I know without any doubt that this is the only true church and I know this because the Spirit testified this to me and is continually feeding my testimony making it stronger day by day. The one thing that made my conversion easier if the plan of Salvation. Upon hearing this is knew where I came from before I came to earth. I know that I have a Saviour in Jesus Christ who atoned for my sins. The scriptures are the word of God and by studying them will lead me to my Father in Heaven. I stay in the Gospel as there is no other way that will lead me to eternal life and of course that is what I want most in this life to live eternally with my Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ together with my family.

How I live my faith

My current callings in the church are Family History Centre Director where I help others with their family history research. Serving in the Temple. For all of my church life I have played the organ and piano for meetings. I love to sing in choirs. I have been blessed to have served with the children, youth and women of the church at various times and always had a calling that involved music. My children and grand-children are very musical and my son is a professional singer.
