Hi I'm Kat

I'm a photographer. I'm a Disney lover. I'm a wife. I'm a convert. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I became a Latter-Day Saint when I was 19 years old. I want to live my life to the fullest and create memories that will last a lifetime because I want the life my Heavenly Father gave me to be a good one.

Why I am a Mormon

Read my FULL story about my conversion story here http://lvoekat.tumblr.com/post/7878478072/my-conversion-story My life started with me being raised in a family who firmly believes in Buddhism. Growing up, I thought I had to follow my parent's footstep with religion but never was really taught what I was believing in and I never actually believed in Buddhism. Somewhere along the road, I started to question religion and started believing in God on my own freshman year of my high school, about a year later I started to believe that there were no such thing as religion and it was all made up. In the end of junior year, I met my boyfriend (now husband) who was an LDS. He was preparing to go on his mission so he took lessons with the missionaries weekly and I'd go with him for the fun of it. The missionaries ended up teaching me about the Gospel but I was so stubborn. I wouldn't pray or read when they'd tell me to. Somewhere along the way, something changed but I was still in denial that I can feel the spirit. I eventually started reading and praying when I was asked to. I also realized I started calling myself a Mormon and started standing up for the religion! When it got closer to my boyfriend's mission, I started REALLY thinking about everything and I realized if I was to die right then, the ONLY thing I'd regret was not getting baptized. I just had the sudden urge to get baptized! It was all last minute planning and I was baptized 2 days later. My boyfriend baptized me the night he was set apart as an Elder. Ever since then, I've been so happy and I will NEVER regret this decision. I am Momon because I have something to believe in. Being Mormon makes my life happier and makes it feel complete. With my savior, I am able to repent and continue to live Christlike. I'm so grateful to know our Heavenly Father and our Savior loves and cares for us.

How I live my faith

I try to be an example to all those around me, especially with my family who are non-members. I have learned that the smallest action can make a big impact. I am also a Sunday School teacher for 12-14 year olds and a ward missionary.
