Hi I'm Brian

I am an IT professional, a father, and a husband. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 34yrs old IT Project Manager and married to my beautiful wife for 10 yrs. We have 3 adorable little girls. I enjoy spending time with my girls outside, bike riding, building and fixing computers, and video gaming when I have the chance. I am a huge Star Wars fan of both movies and books, and also enjoy reading Orson Scott Card, JRR Tolkien, and Roger Zelazney novels.

Why I am a Mormon

There are so many reasons. Like many other people, I stuggled with my own faith. My wife and her family have been members their whole life. I learned little bits about the church from them, but I never got the big picture. We were like many families in this country, trying to find a way to pay the bills, and keep a roof over our heads. After hitting a long, low point where we came close to losing it all, I found myself literally praying for something good to happen for me and my family. One day, after praying the night before, I finally recieved some great news. I wass given apay raise, which allowed us to qualify for the help we needed. That same day, I came home from work and right as I got home, the local missionaries were at our door. They introduced themselves, and asked how things were for us. They asked if they could come by and offer a discussion on the Book of Mormon. After the first discussion, I asked them to come back and teach me more. Every time they came back, they had the perfect scripture for what was happening in our lives. I kept listening and kept praying, and eventually I came to realize that this is the truth. I had found my faith after looking for a long time. I agreed to be baptized shortly after, and have been blessed ever since.

How I live my faith

Joining the Church has opened me up to new ideas and brought me many new friends. I have recieved a calling as a Ward Missionary, in which I can share my story and teach new members and investigators of the Church, and help them understand the Gospel. I also get to learn alot form the families I visit, and it strengthens my belief and faith as I see them grow in faith
