Hi I'm Jordan

I'm a Gamer. I'm a Boss. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to hang out with friends, play soccer, and longboard. I got one year of college out of the way in the subject of Professional Flight or to become a pilot. Also, besides flying, I love to go SCUBA diving.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a testimony of the restored Gospel on the earth today. I have been raised up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints my whole life and have enjoyed being a part of it. However, I am not a Mormon because I have been raised up as one, but because I know that the Book of Mormon is another testiment of Jesus Christ and that through Joseph Smith the Lord was able to restore His church and the Priesthood on the earth again. I know that through Christs teachings, or the Gospel, we can really experience the happiness and the full potential God has for us in this life and the life to come.

How I live my faith

I live my faith just like any person would live their life, just with the morals and values the gospel teaches. I have had a couple of roles in the church. I have been incharge of many young men activities and also did heaps of service around the community.

Is it true that Jesus appeared in North America after his crucifixion and resurrection according to the Book of Mormon?

It is true. Why would Jesus only favor one people more than another? We can come to know that this is true by reading the Book of Mormon - testiment of Christ and his dealings in America - and praying to know the truth. Show more Show less

What is the First Vision?

It is where Joseph Smith knelt down in prayer asking which one of the churches were true and if he should join any of them. God and Jesus Christ appeared to him and told him that he shoud join none of them and that none were true. Instead he was to restore, or bring back, the Church that Jesus Christ set up when He was on the earth with all of His teachings. Which is now the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-Day Saints. Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

No, we have not always had the Bible. It was created about 400 years after Jesus due to a combination of certain scripts. A restoration was needed because the priesthood - power and authority to act in God's name- was taken off the earth after Jesus Christ and his followers died off. That sacred power and all the teachings that once was established during Christ's earthly reign was nowhere on the earth. A restoration was needed to bring that same power and all the teachings back on the earth again. Without this there would be no proper way to perform baptism and certain ordinances that allow us to return to our Heavenly Father. Show more Show less

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Because families are ordained or given to us from God. Just like we were one giant family before this world under God, He has given us families in this life. They are here to provide love, support, and learning. Moreover, when based upon the teachings of Christ they can be brought closer together - not only for this life, but for the life to come. Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

Only some are allowed because it is God's house on earth and very sacred. Just like no unclean thing can enter into His presence, we are to prepare ourselves to be worthy of going. Nothing secret is going on in the temple. We are not riding on elephants, throwing fruit at each other, or what ever randomly dumb rumor people tend to spread. We are just able to learn more about Christ and perform certain ordinances that prepare us and others for the next life. Show more Show less
