Hi I'm Shauna

I am a Mom and Wife. I became what I wanted to be when I "grew up". I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love soccer, running and spending time with my husband and children. I was telling my children the other day that when I went to college I wanted to be an Occupational Therapist when I grew up, but because I got married my plans to pursue a Master's degree changed. "What is that Mom?" my kids wondered. I explained that on Occupational Therapist is someone that helps others learn certain skills like brushing teeth or getting dressed. I kind of smiled to myself as I realize I teach those types of skills to my children every day. And I thought of my Bachelor's Degree in Recreation Management which I use the skills I learned daily with my kids. I think almost everything I ever wanted to "be" when I was little I have had experience with us a Mother, from wanting to be a doctor, dietitian, or even a rock star! Being a mother and wife is by far the most eclectic career field there is.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the of the love I feel from my Heavenly Father as I read the scriptures and listen to the words of the prophets. When I sincerely pray I can feel the love of my Savior and Heavenly Father. When I hear the story of Joseph Smith's First Vision I can feel the truth in my heart.

How I live my faith

Currently I oversee the children's classes on Sundays. It is neat to see their desire to do what is right and follow Heavenly Father. I live my faith daily by trying to be the best I can each day. I read from the scriptures, pray, and teach my family of Heavenly Father's plan.
