Hi I'm Arielle

I'm a science nerd who loves to run. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student with a major in Public Health. I'm passionate about peanut butter, traveling and art museums. My best experience of 2010 was running my first half-marathon.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in an LDS home, but it wasn't until I was 12 or 13 that my own personal testimony really began to grow. I started taking scripture reading more seriously at this point, and I decided to pray before reading and to really look for answers to prayers in them. One day, I sat down to read 3 Nephi, and I found myself in the chapters where Jesus Christ visits the Americas. As I was reading, the scriptures came alive as they never had before, and I felt the Spirit so strongly, it overwhelmed me. Since that day, I've had many, many prayers answered through the scriptures. I have seen lives changed through the gospel, and I would not be where I am today without it. I know the Book of Mormon is true. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, and that Thomas S. Monson is God's prophet on the Earth today. I'm grateful that we have a loving God and Jesus Christ, who lived and died for us so that we can be with them and with our families after we die.

How I live my faith

In addition to attending church every week, I am the choir director in my congregation. I select pieces for the choir to sing, we have a rehearsal every week, and we perform at church about once a month. I also get to be a visiting teacher. As part of this role, I meet with two girls in my congregation every month with another girl, and we see how they're doing and give them a little inspiring message every month. I love being able to participate in the church and become better friends with individuals in my congregation!
