Hi I'm Keith

I was born in Canada and moved to the US at an early age. I was taught by the missionaries at age 15. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Canada and move with my family to the southwest desert. After an early childhood of catching lizards and snakes I was introduced to the Church by my brother. At age 15 the missionaries taught me about the church. I am now the father of wonderful children and will soon be a grandfather. I am the CFO for my company and love playing golf with my wife.

Why I am a Mormon

As a child I had interacted with many Mormons but didn't know it. I envied the fun and joy they seemed to have as they talked about activities they were doing. I had attended many churches as a child as I searched for the truth. I loved to have discussions with my Grandmother who was one of the most religious people I have ever known. I remember at age 10 praying to know the truth about religion and telling the Lord all I needed was to be pointed in the right direction and I will go. A year before I was taught by the missionaries my brother had been taught and had been baptized. He knew of my desire to find the truth so he invited me to attend a Sunday meeting. I began to read and pray. I began attending the youth program of the church. I felt good as I attended these meetings and activities. I was then invited to be taught by the missionaries. The thing I remember most about the lessons is they had the answer to every question I had and I didn't even need to voice the question. I would think of questions during my reading and their next lesson would answer it. I was baptized at age 15 and have been so grateful for my brothers invitation ever since. Understanding the purpose of God's plan for his children has been such a strength as I have experienced the loss of a child and the loss of both my mother and father. The gospel has brought so much love to my life that I couldn't envision living without it.

How I live my faith

Since being baptized I have served in many capacities. I have been the leader of our age group as a youth, served a two year mission to Sweden, taught teenage Sunday School classes, taught youth classes, assisted in several administrative functions and am currently serving as a Bishop (the leader of a mormon congregation). Outside the church I am involved in whatever my children are interested. I have been a soccor coach, a scout leader and am now on a high school band booster board.

Are Mormons Christians?

This was always a funny question for me as I was taught by the missionaries. Jesus Christ is the focus of every lesson taught by the missionaries. Show more Show less
