Hi I'm Burke

I love my family, working hard, serving others and college football. I'm a Mormon .

About Me

I grew up in Montana, went to college in Utah (BYU) and Massachusetts (MIT), started my career in New Hampshire, and now live in Georgia with my wife and three kids. I enjoy solving problems at work and serving others anyway that I can. My greatest joy, though, is spending quality time with my family. We love traveling to college football games, camping in the mountains, and going to amusement parks.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a Mormon family who taught me the happiness that comes from following the teachings of Jesus Christ. Growing up in such a loving home helped me feel the spirit of Christ and gain a testimony that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Christ's restored church on the earth today. I know that by living my religion my kids can have the same experiences I had growing up and most importantly I can be together forever with my wife and kids.

How I live my faith

I absolutely love living my faith by serving others. The church gives me plenty of opportunities to serve, whether it is teaching early morning gospel study to high schoolers or helping the widows of the community with their yard work. Providing meaningful service is a sanctifying experience which helps me feel closer to God and to those I serve. One of my most meaningful service opportunity has been that of scoutmaster. Even though my own boys are too young to be scouts I feel that all of my scouts have become my own boys. Some of my favorite memories involve long strenuous hikes up mountains and cold winter nights spent camping in tents. Helping the boy scouts realize their limitless potential has been very rewarding.

Who are the Mormons?

Mormons are people like you and me who have a belief in the Savior Jesus Christ and want to follow him. Mormons believe that the Savior knows and loves each of us and that He wants all of us to return to live with Him after this life. To help us accomplish this He has given us families, scriptures, and modern-day prophets and apostles. Show more Show less
