Hi I'm Rinda

I love the color red. I enjoy camping, hiking and just being outside. I am a quilter, and a gourmet cook. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am the mother of six children and a full time homemaker. My husband and I have four biological sons and two beautiful daughters, that were adopted from China when they were babies. One of our daughters has special needs. I am also the grandmother of two lively grandsons. My home and family are my passion. I love the outdoors-hiking, camping, and boating. I swim to keep in shape. To nurture my creative side, I love to piece and quilt my own quilts. International travel is also one of my passions. I enjoy visiting new places and meeting new people. The more exotic, the better! Favorite places I have visited are China, Machu Picchu, Peru and the Amazon jungle.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because living the restored gospel of Jesus Christ brings peace and joy to my life. My ancestors have been members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for many generations, but it was through my own study and implementing the gospel teachings that I gained my own personal testimony of Jesus Christ and His restored gospel. My testimony is constantly renewed as I live the teachings of Jesus Christ. As a young women, I had the opportunity to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in Edinburgh, Scotland. I loved sharing my testimony of the restored gospel with the people in Scotland. As I continue to live the teachings of Jesus Christ, I find great peace, love and purpose in my life.

How I live my faith

In my daily life, I try to emulate the teachings of my Savior, Jesus Christ. I engage in daily prayer and scripture study. As a family, we attend church together each Sunday. We devote Monday evenings to spending time together as a family and studying gospel principles . I try to serve my family and others in my congregation and community. My responsibility in the church is to work with the Young Women, girls ages 12-18. I help provide lessons, activities and encouragement to about 40 young women. As I worship in the temple, I am strengthened, find peace, and joy. I also have the responsibility and pleasure of visiting with three women in our congregation, each month, to offer counsel and encouragement. I find serving others strengthens me.
