Hi I'm Sean OC

I had to grow up fast, overcame challenges, and now I understand the 'WHY'. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Sean. I have a wonderful wife named Meagan, we've been together for almost two years. I'm like most guys, I like watching sportcenter and making my wife happy at the same time!! My family is number one in my life. I've really learned how much family is important. My brother and 2 sisters were fortunate to get real close growing up because of hard times. I'm an entrepreneur . Enjoy working for myself. I believe that anything in life that is important should be something we must work towards. More then anything I'm a follower of Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

Because I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints is the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.I do have Mormon roots but did not attend church growing up.My parents stopped going when I was 7.Ten years later my sister Bonny was going to all these different churches.I personally did not have that interest because we had a tough childhood after my parents split when I was 14.I felt like God didn't really care about me personally. My sister asked my mom one day about the Mormon church. Then the next day randomly 2 Mormon missionaries knocked on our door, my sister answered. She met with them and joined the church. She then asked if me and my brother would listen to them. I did it because I loved my sister. We did receive baptism. But I did not do it for the right reasons. A few months went by. I started to feel sad or as if something was wrong. So one night I prayed to God to know if he knew me and if he loved me. I witness that he answered my prayer. I felt peace. Something that is hard to describe but I knew that he heard me and knew of my pain. I felt that I should start reading the book of Mormon so I did. I felt that same peace from that book.A year and half later I served as a Mormon missionary and saw that same change that happen to me happen for so many other people. The gospel of Jesus Christ was restored through a modern Prophet named Joseph Smith. He translated the Book of Mormon by the gift and power of God.I exhort everyone to read the book and pray to know if it is of God.You will know as I know that it is true. There are so many wonderful blessings to know and feel as you come to know the Man who bore our sorrows and who was aquanted with grief. He lives. Here is my favorite passages of the book of Mormon.''My soul hath been redeemed from the gall of bitterness and bonds of iniquity.I was in the darkest abyss but now I behold the marvelous light of God. My soul was cracked with eternal torment but I am snatched, and my soul is pained no more.''

How I live my faith

I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ because it changed my outlook on all aspects of life. Living the gospel is a everyday thing. It makes a huge difference in my day as I try to pray to my Heavenly Father to guide me that day. To help me know what I should do. I get a lot of strength from reading the scriptures as well. I'm very busy with school, work, and my calling at church. So I have to make sure that I make time for those things. Really it should be the other way. Make time for everyday things and put the gospel first. Also I really love my calling in the church. I get to work with the full time missionaries on a regular basis. To meet people and share my witness of the gospel strengthens me and helps me live what I know to be true.I also have the privilege to teach a Sunday school class as well. Its called gospel principles. Its a class for new members of the church and those that are learning about the church. I love seeing the light come on when they feel and understand the truth of the gospel. I also have a wonderful wife. Who is a great example. Being able to have a support in the home in what I am trying to accomplish is a great blessing. As we work together for what is right it gives us both strength to live the Gospel of Christ. I love the gospel. I feel it, I know it. That is the drive in my life to live it. Because I know that Christ came and atoned for all of us, so I know that I have the honor to show that I love Him by keeping his commandments and following his footsteps.

What is faith?

Sean OC
Faith is the first principle of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is the first principle because it leads to take action! A Book of Mormon prophet wrote, " Faith is not to have a perfect knowledge of things therefore if ye have faith ye hope for things which are not sen which are true." We center our faith in Jesus Christ of members of His church, The Church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints. To have faith in Jesus Christ is to know that He accomplished the atonement for you and for me. I promise as you exercise that faith in Christ it will lead to having a more complete understanding of who you are and who you are to become. Show more Show less
