Hi I'm Shane

I love Jesus Christ. I love basketball. I love hip-hop. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Originally from California, I now call the desert of Arizona home. I come from both Vietnamese and American heritage. I am the oldest of four brothers. I love the game of basketball as in the Los Angeles Lakers. I love music as in U2, Muse, Lecrae, Paper Tongues and Reach Records Hip-Hop. I love movies as in Dark Knight and Inception. I love food as in chicken and waffles from May's Counter in Tucson. Currently, I am serving as a Representative of the Lord Jesus Christ in Idaho. I later plan on studying at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.

Why I am a Mormon

In 1820, amongst religious contention and turmoil, a young man offered a humble prayer asking a simple question--which religion is true? This young man, Joseph Smith, received an answer to his prayer. God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph. They told him that none of the world religions contained the fulness of the everlasting gospel and that in due time the gospel would be restored completely to the earth. Later, Joseph Smith was called by God as the Prophet and the Gospel of Jesus Christ was revealed through him unto the world. Contained in the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the Plan of Salvation. This Plan explains where we came from, why we are here, and where we are going. We know that because of the merciful sacrifice of Jesus Christ, that if we keep God's Holy Commandments, we can live with God again for eternity in His kingdom that outweighs all the glory of the world. I know that God is my Heavenly Father I am His son and He has unlimited potential for me. I know that His Only Begotten Son Jesus Christ is the Savior and Redeemer of the world. Heavenly Father does indeed have a plan for each and every one of us and the Gospel of Jesus Christ is our instructions on how to live this life. God did call Joseph Smith as His Prophet, Seer and Revelator in these last days. By the power of God's Holy Priesthood power, the record kept by the ancient inhabitants of the Americas concerning their dealings with Jesus Christ, was translated into the English language by the Prophet Joseph Smith into the Book of Mormon. Jesus Christ lives. The Book of Mormon testifies of Him and it is true. Joseph Smith was called as a Prophet by God. I have asked God myself, through prayer, and received a witness of truthfulness of these things from the Holy Ghost. However, don't just take my word for it. Put the Gospel teachings to the test. Christ has said himself in the Holy Scriptures "But, behold, I say unto you, that you must study it out in your mind then you must ask me if it be right, and if it is right I will cause that your bosom shall burn within you therefore, you shall feel that it is right." All you have to do is seek and ask for truth. Go to the Source. I have done so. Will you?

How I live my faith

I live Unashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, just as Paul the Apostle proclaimed in Romans 116. I represent Christ wherever I go. I show off for Christ--I give Him my time, talents, and resource, to make sure that the Cross is on the move, so that everyone worldwide can know for a surety that we have been created to worship the Everlasting God 3 Nephi 1117. We have been made for a greater purpose than just for seeking selfish ambition D&C 12137. Every day I strive to focus my eyes on Christ, and to help others do the same. Jesus Christ is my treasure. I do the best I can each day to keep His Commandments so that I can be found worthy at the last day to enter into His kingdom of Glory. I rebel against the current culture of prideful sin that does not provide happiness Alma 4110. I open the Scriptures to be fortified by His word 1 Nephi 1524. It is all about Jesus Christ 2 Nephi 2526. ..."we see that the gate of heaven is open unto all, even to those who will believe on the name of Jesus Christ, who is the Son of God."
